Note 1: No separate production figures were recorded for "G"-engined low-compression/export cars: they are included with the above totals. One convertible and five hardtops have been registered with VTCI.
Note 1: No separate production figures were recorded for "G"-engined low-compression/export cars: they are included with the above totals. None have been registered with VTCI.
Note 1: No separate production figures were recorded for "G"-engined low-compression/export cars: they are included with the above totals. One hardtop has been registered with VTCI.
Note 1: No separate production figures were recorded for "R"-engined low-compression cars: they are included with the above totals. None have been registered with VTCI.
*Sports Roadster production may have been 1420 total, with 129 being "M"-engined, according to T-Bird Sports Roadster Society letter dated 3/1/76 Note 2: No production data survives to break out "M," "R" or "Z"-engined Hardtops/Landaus. From data compiled by VTCI and William Wonder, 28 hardtops and 11 Landaus have been located to date: it is highly likely that more exist that have not been accounted for. Note 3: No separate production totals were kept for the '62 Landau: their numbers are included in the Hardtop figure. Up to 15 percent (10,200+/-) may be Landaus. |
*Sports Roadster production may have been 460 total, with 39 being "M"-engined, according to T-Bird Sports Roadster Society letter dated 3/1/76 Note 4: No production data survives to break out "M," "9" or "Z"-engined Hardtops/Landaus. From data compiled by VTCI and William Wonder, 27 hardtops and 17 Landaus have been located to date.
Note 5: No "Sports Roadster" was offered in 1964. However, 45 convertibles were supplied from the Wixom plant with both wire wheels and the Sports Tonneau cover. No production data survives to break out "9"-engined low-compression/export cars.
Note 6: Of the 4500 Special Landaus, an estimated 10% (450 +/-) may have been painted Wimbledon White. More research is required to verify this figure. No production data survives to break out "9"-engined low-compression/export cars.
Note 7: No separate records were kept for "Q"-engined '66 T-birds. An estimated 20-25% may have been built with the motor. Note 8: While final production records indicate 69,176 '66 T-birds having been completed, higher numbers have been recorded and verified by VTCI. A numbering gap in the production sequence may be responsible for the irregularity.

Note 12: No separate records were kept for sunroof-equipped T-birds. |
